Melissa Williams, LGPC

Therapist

Melissa Williams, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a clinical background in behavioral health and a commitment to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and transitions. She holds a Master of Social Work degree with a clinical focus and has experience working with children, adults, older adults, veterans, and people facing mental health and substance use concerns.

As a retired law enforcement officer, Melissa brings firsthand understanding of the demands of first-responder work. That experience gives her insight into the pressures, responsibilities, and unique stressors that can affect first responders and their families, and it allows her to connect with clients authentically, respectfully, and without judgment.

Melissa’s clinical work includes behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, brief interventions, motivational interviewing, CBT- and DBT-informed skills, and care coordination. She takes a person-centered approach and strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to work toward meaningful change. She believes seeking support is a sign of strength and that everyone has the capacity for growth.

Melissa is glad to be part of Kindred Treatment Center (and we are too!) and looks forward to providing compassionate, practical care to her clients.
