Megan Freter
Program Director
Megan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C in Maryland and LCSW in Pennsylvania) with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Bloomsburg University and her Master of Arts in Social Work from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
Megan has extensive experience working with children, adults, families, and incarcerated individuals. She utilizes a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Strengths-Based Therapy, and Exposure Therapy, tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
At Kindred Treatment Center, Megan is dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care. She has a special interest in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. In her role as Program Director, Megan provides direct clinical interventions, supports and guides staff, expands service populations, ensures quality and safety in client care, and fosters professional development within the team.
