Amanda Ahmed

Social Work Intern

Amanda is a magna cum laude graduate of Liberty University, where she earned her Bachelor of Social Work with minors in Global Studies and Psychology. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, with a concentration in trauma-informed care and mindfulness-based approaches to mental health.

Amanda recently completed an internship with a psychiatric rehabilitation program, where she served as a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) group facilitator. This experience deepened her passion for providing holistic, client-centered care that promotes emotional healing and overall well-being.

With a strong interest in mindfulness-based therapies and stress-reduction practices, Amanda is committed to helping individuals navigate emotional challenges using compassionate, evidence-based strategies. A proud veteran spouse and mother of three, she is also deeply engaged in advancing financial literacy and supporting military families.

Amanda’s long-term goal is to become a licensed clinical social worker specializing in behavioral health and financial wellness. She aspires to offer accessible, community-based mental health services with a focus on financial empowerment for underserved populations, especially veterans, servicemembers, and their families.

Outside of her professional interests, Amanda enjoys singing, journaling, writing short stories, meditating, reading, and listening to spiritually uplifting music. Known for her warm and engaging spirit, she values genuine connection—and never misses an opportunity for a fun karaoke session with friends and family.
