Josh holds a BS degree in Psychology from Fitchburg State University and is currently immersed in his studies, pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at Salisbury University.  His professional journey has taken him through diverse settings, including outpatient and residential substance abuse treatment as well as and various federal prison environments.

 

Throughout his professional journey, Josh has navigated through diverse environments, including outpatient and residential substance abuse treatment centers, as well as various correctional facilities.  Through these experiences, Josh has gained  valuable insight into the multifaceted challenges that individuals encounter on a daily basis.

 

Josh's therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy and devoid of judgment, as he focuses on recognizing and harnessing the inherent strengths of his clients as they embark on their personal growth journeys. Drawing from a rich array of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing, Josh customizes his interventions to suit the unique needs of each individual. He fosters a collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to confront obstacles, set meaningful objectives, and pursue positive transformation.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Josh finds solace and fulfillment in spending quality time with his loved ones and exploring the depths of the ocean through scuba diving. These personal passions highlight his holistic approach to counseling, underscoring the importance of self-nurturing in the pursuit of holistic well-being.

With his wealth of experience, unwavering empathy, and steadfast dedication to facilitating growth, Josh is committed to guiding individuals along a path of resilience, self-discovery, and fulfillment.

Josh will be focusing on providing substance abuse counseling as well as mental health counseling to adolescents and adults. We are very excited and grateful to have Josh join our team.
